根据我的研究，视频中被扔向猪群的就是个被点燃的汽油桶。

汽油的特点：火焰扩散速度很开，短时间内可以烧得很旺快，但是持续时间短。

从视频中可以看出，如果用来消灭活物，只用汽油的效果不好。

改进的方法：

加入镁粉或者铝热剂大幅度提高火焰温度；
加入适量胶凝汽油，或者洗洁精/糖等物质来增加附着效果，增加持续杀伤能力。
加入燃烧剂，比如有硝酸钾和锯末的混合物，石蜡和锯末的混合物，延长燃烧时间。
