Trump said he would not pull America out of the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing and neighboring Hebei province because it would be “unfair to the athletes.”

Describing the Olympics as “peanuts,” Trump also suggested that a boycott would be seen around the world as “sour grapes.”

this piece of news (the source I sent) was originated from a legit US news media (The Hill - not CCP fake news). The timing of the news (dated 21 Jun) does not change the fact that Trump made those comments and showed his position. Unless you can point me to a more recent source showing changes of his position on this issue, the news (not the chinese one) is still valid.
