Our country should have a democratic government. Democratic means that we the people own the country. A democratic government is what we believe the best for our nation, country, and people. We believe that the government should be in a form of democracy is because: first, it can protect people’s natural rights; second, it can let the people’s voice be heard and let the people become the main body of the nation; finally, the democratic government ensures that there are more people involved in the government and the policies decision, and thus the policies can be more carefully considered.

We the people, desire to form a free land, hanker to establish Justice, crave for domestic Tranquility, yearn for Blessings of Liberty. All these, for ourselves and our Posterity. We aim to found a free land, and it only can be done by democracy.

观点：

Many rights come from nature, which are called natural rights. These rights cannot be taken away by the government. But if there is no democracy, there is no way to limit the government's actions. The government can do what they want. The domestic is a way to let people supervise and limit government. People are always greedy; no one can hold themselves back when facing power. Once they got unlimited power, they will try their best to keep their power, and they will not hesitate to do any crazy things.

Democratic is the voice of the people. There is an idea called popular sovereignty, which means that people are the main body of the country, not the government. If the government is the main body, but the people are not, since there are only a small number of people in the government, it is impossible to do something that fits all the people’s interests.

The policies in the democratic (here, I am talking about the republic democratic, or representative democracy) are made by a group of people. While in a totalitarian government, it is usually made by one person. Thus, the policies in a democratic country can be more carefully decided, usually.

Totalitarianism can indeed do a fast change usually, but if the change is wrong, please tell me what is the point of making this change? It is just like when you want to get to school faster and drive through a river. “All the animals are equal while some animals are more equal.” This is a quote from Animal Farm, it is what the society in a totalitarian country looks like. The person or the group of people who have power will try their best to make a profit for themselves since there is nothing that limits them. The only “equality” totalitarianism has is all the people who do not have the power are as poor as others and the leader holds a major part of the wealth. And yes, the government can regulate the economy in a totalitarian country, but is that good? I do not mean the regulation itself, since we need some regulation from the government, and this can happen in both totalitarian and democratic countries. But the question is since the government in a totalitarian country does not need to care about people, they will just use that for their own benefit.
