台湾的中文其实很多发音和大陆普通话是有差距的，尽管用词和释义都差不多，应该是和本土台语（闽南话）的发音系统比普通话丰富有关

确实。台国和普通话用词现在差别的确很大，例子应该蛮多的，但毕竟总体相似度还是比较高，不至于完全沟通不了，像她妈妈那样完全听不懂，我就猜她家会不会是不是老移民。因为很多老移民家庭因为出国的早只会说方言不会说普通话。印象很深的一个例子是玩英雄联盟的doublelift在家会用相当流畅的上海话混杂英语和家里人交流但他完全不懂普通话。

Unless you are a person with alt-right views I recommend r/China_irl since it is more of a politically diverse sub and a more serious tone but it does have a lot of 小粉红s on there too.
