As stated by the french certification system “Appellation d'origine contrôlée”, as well as the laws of the European Union, you can only describe sparkling wines that are produced in these 5 districts: Aube, Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne, within the historical province of Champagne as “Champagne”. So if you wanna try a truly authentic Champagne, do not expect any of them to taste like the Canadian Ice Wine, as any classic Champagne Brüt (which literally means “dry”) wouldn’t be sweet at all. Amongst the Champagnes that are considered as the “highest quality”, such as the Tattinger Comtes de Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc, the Louis Roederer Cristal, Krug etc. non of them are sweet to the palate. However, if you enjoy Ice Wine, I do recommend a nice German Riesling, as they are similarly crisp, delicate, elegant, and delightfully sweet while at the same time being waaaaay more complex and nuanced (with their flavours being more complex and acidic) than the Canadian Ice Wine. I myself am Canadian and I gotta say we don’t really have any history nor significant reputation when it comes to wine lol. Anyways, if you love Ice Wine and wanna try something similar(but not purely a dessert wine like a Sauternes or Port), my specific recommended would be a 2013 Vintage Joh. Jos. Prüm Spaltese Riesling :))

喜欢喝甜的话就去喝Prosecco 还比香槟便宜很多
