common作形容词修饰means：means -&rt; common means

most作副词修饰common: common means -&rt; most common means

three数量词对应most common means：most common means -&rt; three most common means

最后加上the限定：the three most common means

英语语法大部分都是有严谨逻辑的，楼上链接的那个百度知道回答里面什么“数词一般都放在最高级之前,但放在定冠词之后”之类生搬硬造的规则多少沾点支式英语语法了
